Community Safety Hub

We’ve made it easier for you to receive the support you need with the addition of the brand-new Community Safety Hub.

A central location where all students and staff can get advice, practical help, and information, the Hub is easy to access in the North Lodge, at the top of the Green Heart.

What’s available at the Community Safety Hub?

  • A safe, confidential environment to discuss issues you may be experiencing
  • Guidance and advice on support services that can help, at the University and externally
  • Free D-locks, bike registration and property-marking for all students
  • Free personal attack alarms, contactless card defenders, and more

The Hub is home to your Community Safety Team and Campus Police team, made up of two police community support officers, one full-time police constable, a Safety Operations manager, the Safety Manager and five Safety Officers.

We will be open between 10:00 and 16:00 Mon-Fri. Please drop in to talk to one of the police or Safety team, to get crime prevention advice, or to arrange your bike registration/free D-lock.

If you’re coming to talk to us about a difficult or sensitive issue, we have a number of private rooms within the Hub. Just ask a member of the team on arrival or alternatively, you can email us or call us direct:
