Treasury Management Credit Control are now able to offer a credit referencing service.
We recommend that credit reports are obtained before agreeing business with new customers to give an indication of whether they can meet the proposed liabilities. This can reduce the risk of non-payment and debts being written off to your department.
The available reports are informative, user friendly, and paid for under a block license so do not incur additional charges to your department. They not only give full and detailed information on the company, but also give an overall risk rating with a recommended credit limit and suggested maximum contract limit.
Requests for credit reports can be emailed to accountsreceivable@contacts.bham.ac.uk and should normally be replied to within two working days. Requests should state the company name and the company registration number.
Reports should normally be available for all active UK limited companies, although there is also a limited provision for non-limited companies and companies registered overseas.
