LGBT+ STEMinar

The University of Birmingham is delighted to be hosting the 5th LGBT+ STEMinar on 10 January 2020.

The one day annual research conference, is a celebration of the work of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) researchers who identify as LGBT+.  The University is proud to be supporting the conference, which was first held at the University of Sheffield in 2016 and has since been hosted at the University of York and the Institute of Physics, London.

The conference aims to increase the visibility and profile of LGBT+ STEM scientists, to showcase the exciting research undertaken by those within the LGBT+ community as well as provide development and networking opportunities for early career LGBT+ scientists.

The event is open to all who register, including those who may not identify as LGBT+ but wish to learn and support the work of their LGBT+ colleagues. You can find out more here: https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/university/colleges/eps/events/2020/lgbt-steminar-2020/index.aspx
