Get your vaccine on campus this week

Chevonne Risbrooke, a Medical student at the University of Birmingham, interviews Dr Anthony Cox from the University's School of Pharmacy to ask whether she should have the Covid vaccine.

A extra day has been added to the vaccination centres on campus.

This week there will be a new temporary vaccination centre opening on campus. On Tuesday 29, Wednesday 30 June and  now Thursday 1 July (08:00-16:00) you can get your first dose of the Pfizer BioNtech vaccine. All students with an NHS number are eligible. You can book an appointment (Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday are walk-ins only). Walk-ins will be accepted but there is likely to be a long wait so booking is highly recommended on the days where booking is available. The appointment should take no more than 30 minutes (including the waiting time for observation after your vaccination). You can find out more about Covid vaccines from the British Society of Immunology.
