My middle name(s) is not on my student record, can I please add this?

Your name on your degree documents is entered at the time of your admission to the University, using documents and details supplied by you. 

If you name has changed or any middle names are missing, we can get this updated on our system (and your degree documents). To change your name (including adding a missing middle name) you will need to supply documentary evidence to show that these changes reflect the way that your name is legally recognised. Evidence which we can accept are: 

Any evidence provided that is not in English needs to be translated by an official translator before accepting the documentation. 


For International Students your name must appear as it does on your passport and visa; if these documents do not correspond it may affect your right to remain in the UK.


Please note, if you have a student loan with the Student Loans Company, please ensure you update your name with them to match the records here at the University. This is to ensure confirmation of your attendance can be processed in a timely manner and mitigate potential delays to you receiving your loan and/or maintenance.
