If you lose your passport in the UK
If your passport is lost or stolen inside the UK, please report it to the Police online or in person. You will get a crime reference number which you may need to apply for a new passport.
You may need to apply for a new passport directly with your Embassy. A list of all Foreign Embassies' contact details can be found on the Foreign & Commonwealth Office website.
If your student visa was in the form of a sticker in your passport, you can choose to replace your visa with an eVisa. An eVisa is a digital record of your identity and immigration status.
Once you have obtained your new passport, you should upload your new passport on My Right to Study so that we can update your student record. In addition to this you should update your UKVI account with your new passport details as soon as possible.
