What is the Right to Study Check and how do I complete it?

The Right to Study check is essential to start your studies at the University of Birmingham. If you do not complete the process within three weeks of your course start date, the University will be required to withdraw immigration sponsorship meaning that you will not be able to continue your studies and will be required to leave the UK.

There are 2 parts:

Part 1: It begins with you uploading evidence such as your passport and your eVisa share code using the My Right to Study system. The system will guide you to upload the correct documents for your visa type.

Part 2: You attend an appointment on campus to present your final documents. You will also get your ID card at this appointment.

It is your responsibility to ensure that your Right to Study check is completed. You can upload documents and book an appointment on the Right to Study webpage.
