Before you think “oh no, not another survey”, hear us out.

Keeping you in the loop with important and useful information about student life, services and events is crucial so you can stay connected during your time with us.

Our Student Communications Survey is now open and is an opportunity for you to help shape the student experience at UoB, so you keep getting the information you need, in a way that suits you.

By completing the survey you'll also have the chance to enter our prize draw to win £150 Amazon vouchers - just in time for the summer. Make sure you share your email address with us at the end of the survey.  It only takes 5 minutes to complete!

Here are some of the things we’ve responded to and improved following last year’s survey:

  • You told us our social media channels could be used more to share news and information, so we’ve been posting more content on our channels including through Instagram and TikTok as reels and stories, as well as Weibo for our international students.
  • You wanted to hear more about the support available to you on important topics such as assessments, mental health and wellbeing, and cost of living. So, over the past 12 months we've been sharing support and guidance through our campaigns (UoBeReady, Time to Talk? and Cost of Living) on our student communication channels.
  • You said you wanted to feel safer on and off campus, and we continue to work with the Guild of Students and our Community Safety Team to provide you with tips on how to have a safe learning experience
  • You said the student voice should be at the heart of student communications. So we’ve recruited more Student Content Shapers who make a difference in producing content across our channels such as student blogs and videos.
  • You said you wanted to hear more about our UoB community and we’ve promoted celebrations such as LGBTQ+ History Month, Women’s History Month, and Black History Month alongside Your Stories.
  •  The survey is open to all students at all study levels.

Be quick as the survey closes midnight on Friday 24 May.
