Writing

In this session, we will demystify the process of writing for publication in the discipline of Education. We will consider different genres that are published within this area, and consider how they affect the organisation of a piece of writing and the style of language that is used. We will examine research article introductions and abstracts and look at what they must contain and what is optional. Finally, we will think about and discuss how our own practice or educational idea could be transformed into a case study or other article that could be published in the Education in Practice journal or elsewhere. Come to learn, share, and be inspired!

Number of places: 30
Facilitators: Dr Els Van Geyte, Dr Marios Hadjianastasis, Dr Alison Davies
