New trials 2024

Library Services has set up trials to the following resources. Trials will run from 1 Feb until 31 March unless otherwise stated.

We would really appreciate your feedback. After using the resources, please complete the Trial feedback form. This will form the basis of a business case for funding if required. Please note that without this feedback we are unable to consider any resources for purchase.

MSI Eureka: an interactive database for evaluated phase diagrams and related constitutional data. Provides data on all inorganic materials and research and development data in the fields of materials science, metallurgy, chemistry, physics, engineering, etc. applicable in multiple industries such as automotive, aerospace, implant, heavy industry, manufacturing, energy conversion. Available until 5 April 2024.

Evidence Based Medicine Reviews: several of the most trusted EBM resources combined into a single, fully-searchable database.

Pressreader: online access to over 7000 newspapers and magazines whilst matching the colourful layout of the printed version.

AVON (Academic Video Online): more than 62,000 titles spanning a wide range of subject areas including anthropology, business, counseling, film, health, history, music, and more.

Rock's Backpages is a large archive of music journalism and pop writing of the last 60 years.Comprising of more than 53,000 articles, the RBP library aggregates the work of over 830 of the finest writers across all popular-music genres from rockabilly to hip hop, via R&B, country and electronica (EDM).

Sage Research Methods is a comprehensive online platform that offers hundreds of books, cases, datasets, podcasts, video, and tools to help you explore and learn various research methods. Covering business, data visualization, medicine and health.

Digimap’s Pilot Collection provides access to data that is being trialled and evaluated against demand from users. As such, the data included in Pilot Digimap are subject to revision and update.
