Our mission statement
To provide professional advice, guidance and support to Colleges in relation to academic quality matters and related academic policy matters.
Objectives
- To manage the University’s academic quality systems and processes in the following areas:
- Curriculum development
- Annual review of taught programmes
- External examiners for taught provision
- Student representation
- To support the implementation of these and related systems and processes within Colleges, ensuring local practice is aligned with University legislation
- To contribute to the work of College committees/working groups engaged in academic quality matters (as appropriate)
- To support short to medium term College-wide projects that highlight challenges with existing processes and systems and recommend/implement solutions
- To support Specific Checks at University-level (and where required College-level)
- To identify and share processes or practices worthy of wider dissemination
- To support activity relating to external regulation, consultations and reviews
