Want to win a £150 Amazon voucher?
Got thoughts on the emails, Instagram posts, videos and updates you see from us at UoB? This is your chance to tell us what’s working and what could be better.
Take the Student Communications Survey and help shape the way we share news, support, opportunities, events and student life content with you. The survey only takes around five minutes to complete and, once you have taken part, you will be entered into a prize draw to win a £150 Amazon voucher.
Your feedback from previous surveys has already helped shape the content and communications you see across UoB. Here are some of the changes we’ve made based on what you told us last year:
- You told us our social media channels could be used more to share news and information, so we’ve been posting more content on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, as well as Weibo for our international students.
- You said you wanted more relatable, student-led content, so we’ve continued to work with Student Content Shapers to create videos, blogs and social content about student life, study spaces, budget tips and day-to-day experiences at UoB.
- You told us you wanted more practical guidance on university life, so we’ve created content through Brum 101 on topics such as RAPs (Reasonable Adjustment Plan), where to get help, employability and making the most of campus facilities and resources.
- You wanted to hear more about the support available to you on important topics such as assessments, careers, mental health and wellbeing, and cost of living. So, over the past 12 months we’ve shared more support and guidance through campaigns such as UoBe Ready, Time to Talk? and Cost of Living.
- You said you wanted to know more about safety support on and off campus, so we’ve continued to share safety tips and advice and promote the support available through our campus security and student support services.
- You told us you wanted more content that reflects different student experiences, so we’ve shared videos on our Youtube Channel for mature, postgraduate and international students.
- You said you wanted clearer information about life beyond university, so we’ve shared more careers and employability content, including advice on accessing support, developing skills and preparing for the job market.
- You said you wanted to hear more about our UoB community, so we’ve shared Your student stories, community celebrations, diversity and inclusion content, and ways to get involved.
You can also watch a video from Student Content Shapers Denise and Ramya to find out more about the survey.
The survey is open to all students across all study levels.
Be quick — the survey closes at midnight on Friday 19 June 2026.
Your feedback helps us make sure you are getting content and updates that are actually useful, relevant and worth seeing.
