Come along to the Sustainability Open Forum

We’re committed to becoming more sustainable here at UoB, and that’s why we’re inviting you to join us at this year’s Sustainability Open Forum event.

When is it?

It’ll be on Tuesday 13 June. You can book your place to attend in-person (in the Main Lecture Theatre in the Aston Webb Building) or you can attend online by registering for a place on Zoom.

What will the event feature?

A highlight of this event will be the presentation of the Green Impact Awards, bringing together students and staff, and empowering them to make meaningful, sustainable change across our University.

This year, 27 teams submitted their toolkits for audit and there will be bronze, silver and gold awards handed out. Special Awards will also be given to individuals and teams who have been nominated by their colleagues for going above and beyond in terms of sustainable working practices.

At the Open Forum, attendees will also have the opportunity to meet the new Head of Sustainability, Charmaine Morrell, who will share how her work is driving our strategic direction forward at UoB. Every student is welcome to attend and ask questions!

Refreshments will be served, but please bring your own cup as part of our efforts to reduce waste from the event.

We look forward to seeing you there!
