Wellbeing takes centre stage in this free two-day online event for students and staff
The last 18 months have been a challenging time for us all so it’s more important than ever that we take better care of our ourselves, others and our environment.
So, in partnership with the European University for Well-Being (EUniWell), we are delighted to invite you to ‘FestiWell’ - an interactive and educational festival dedicated to wellbeing – taking place over Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 October 2021
There’s no need to camp out on a muddy field as you will be able to enjoy an exciting programme of free events all from the comfort of your own sofa.
This year's theme is 'Taking Well-Being Forward' and over the two-days you will be able to gain valuable insights into the EUniWell community, join in the conversation on wellbeing, the celebration of the first year of EUniWell, and discover opportunities to get involved!

Mini COP26
Tuesday 19 October, 1:30pm – 4.30pm UK
Organised by the University of Birmingham and the University of Florence, the Mini Cop26 event will engage students and academics in exploring tangible solutions to global challenges that are currently holding back economic, social and environmental wellbeing. Through the workshops, the Mini COP26 event aims to create tangible ideas that lead to the sustainable development of EUniWell universities.
“Behind the Seen”
Tuesday 19 October, 2:00pm – 2.50pm UK
The arts can make a powerful contribution to supporting health and wellbeing amongst individuals and communities. Join the Learning and Engagement team at the Barber Institute of Fine Arts (situated at the University of Birmingham Edgbaston campus) to delve deeper into the story behind one of our paintings. Go beyond what you see to explore how the artists’ own experiences have shaped the piece. Later you’ll be able to get creative with an arty exercise. Don’t forget a pen and paper!
