Holi

What is Holi?

Holi, a beloved festival celebrated by millions worldwide, especially in the Hindu community, is all about joy, tradition, and legends. It's a time when people come together to remember the legend of Prahlad and the demon, Holika.

But Holi isn't just about legends – it's a festival of colours, music, and laughter. During the festival, people smear each other in bright coloured powder - called gulal - which recalls the story of Krishna and his love for Radha.

For many, it’s a time to dance to their favourite Bollywood tunes, sing along, and splash coloured powders and water on friends and family, hence the name the "Festival of Colours". Altogether, Holi’s colourful traditions celebrate spring, love, and new life.
