If you’re looking for a way to make you stand out amongst the crowd of prospective employers, then why not apply for The Birmingham Award?

The Birmingham Award is UoB’s recognised employability skills award for undergraduate students. Launched in September, the award designed to help ‘future you’ by recognising the activities you do outside of your course, to help you prepare for future graduate roles and life after University.

It’s a great opportunity to develop and recognise the skills you gain through extra-curricular activities, such as, part-time work, volunteering, fundraising, starting a business, content creating, being a part of a sports team or society committee and campus activities. It’s also endorsed by a range of employers!

How can I apply?

Any undergraduate student at UoB can complete it. The award is flexible, meaning you can enrol anytime throughout the year. The next deadline for students is Tuesday 5 December – if you’re successful, you can receive your award certificate in Spring.

Final year students will need to complete the award by 19 March 2024.
