Panorama - Your New Accessibility Companion

Brand new for this academic year, we have launched Panorama – a new accessibility tool in Canvas designed to make learning more inclusive and flexible for everyone.

With Panorama, you’ll be able to access alternative formats of course content shared by your lecturers – including Canvas pages and documents. Whether you prefer reading, listening, or using assistive tech, Panorama gives you options that suit your learning style.

How to Access Alternative Formats

Select the Alternative Format icon (the blue figure in a circle)  next to the document title or page name. This will open the Alternative Formats pop-up menu.

You can download materials in a range of formats, including:

• Text file: a simplified version of the document to reduce distractions
• Audio podcasts: converts written content into an audio format
• Gradient reader: adds a guiding gradient to improve readability
• Enhanced HTML: use the Web Accessibility Widget to adjust colours, fonts and more. Tip: you can save your adjustments as a profile for future use!
