Geological Society of London has an open access publishing agreement with the University of Birmingham. It allows UoB affiliated corresponding authors (subject to eligibility criteria listed below) to publish open access at no additional cost in the following hybrid and book series titles:
- Journal of the Geological Society
- Quarterly Journal of Engineering Geology and Hydrogeology
- Petroleum Geoscience
- Geoenergy
- Geochemistry: Exploration, Environment, Analysis
- Proceedings of the Yorkshire Geological Society
- Scottish Journal of Geology
- Special Publications of the Geological Society
- Memoirs of the Geological Society
- Engineering Geology Special Publications
Eligibility criteria
- This agreement covers papers with a 2022 onwards submission date.
- The corresponding author must be affiliated to the University of Birmingham, and ensure their @bham.ac.uk email address is used on submission to the journal.
- Any additional page, colour or other charges will not be covered through this agreement or the open access budget.
